DETROIT (AP) — The giant slide is once again operating at Detroit’s Belle Isle Park.
Staffed by Michigan Department of Natural Resources park rangers, the six-lane slide is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 30.
The cost is $1 per slide or $5 for six slides. The renovated slide opened back up for business on Aug. 2.
During the first two weekends, 1,400 visitors went down the slide, which originally was introduced in 1967.
