WASHINGTON — Police are upping the reward for information about a missing 8-year-old girl and the murder suspect with whom she is believed to be traveling.
Prince George’s County police said Thursday the reward now totals $70,000 for information related to the search for Relisha Rudd and for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Khalil Tatum, the man investigators believe abducted the girl. Previously, there were separate rewards of up to $25,000 each for information.
The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information about the disappearance of Relisha Rudd. The agency is also offering $20,000 for information that leads to Tatum’s arrest in connection with a homicide at an Oxon Hill Red Roof Inn.
Tatum is charged with murdering his wife Andrea Tatum. Police found her body inside the motel when a tip sent them to the motel as part of the search for Relisha. An Amber Alert for Relisha was issued hours later.
The FBI has named Kahlil Tatum to its “Most Wanted” list saying he has fled to avoid prosecution on the murder charge.
Additionally, Prince George’s County police are offering up to $25,000 for information that leads to Tatum’s arrest and conviction.
Earlier this week, the FBI released video of Tatum and Rudd taken Feb. 26 at the Holiday Inn Express on Bladensburg Road in Northeast.
Anyone who sees Relisha or Tatum is asked to call 911 or the Command Information Center at 202-727-9099 or 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
