Nationals make accommodations for the heat

WASHINGTON — With the heat index, it will feel as if it’s 100 degrees this weekend. Because of the high temperatures, the Washington Nationals will make accommodations for fans.

Here’s what’s planned for the games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday:

  • Instead of one one-liter bottle of water, fans can bring two to the games.
  • Fans can bring battery-operated, handheld fans to the games.
  • Cooling centers where there is air conditioning and complimentary ice water will be set up in both the Roosevelt and Kennedy rooms, in the Conference Center, Club Level, on the third base side
  • There will be misting fans throughout Nationals Park. Three are located on the Budweiser Terrace and one will be outside the Main Team Store by Right Field Gate

Nationals Park often takes similar precautions when it’s hot.
