Nationals fans rank 10th for grammar

WASHINGTON — How grammatically correct are Nationals fans? The team’s fans rank 10th among the 30 Major League Baseball teams when it comes to making the fewest spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes, according to Grammarly.

Grammarly teamed up with The Wall Street Journal and analyzed the top 150 comments on official team websites.

Nats fans made 5.9 errors per 100 words, compared with 3.6 errors made by fans of the Cleveland Indians, who earned the No. 1 ranking.

Orioles fans made 9.9 mistakes for every 100 words.

New York Mets fans ranked at the bottom of the list, making 13.9 errors per 100 words.
