WASHINGTON — Four Washington Redskins players have been named as part of the 2017 Pro Bowl: tight end Jordan Reed, linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, tackle Trent Williams and guard Brandon Scherff were selected, which was announced Tuesday evening by the NFL.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins, returner Jamison Crowder and cornerback Josh Norman were chosen as alternates.
The Oakland Raiders had seven players chosen, leading the selection; the Atlanta Falcons lead NFC selections with six players. From the Dallas Cowboys, five players were chosen, including star rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans also had five players chosen.
The all-star matchup will return to the AFC vs. NFC format after several years of an “unconferenced” format, according to NFL.com.
The 2017 Pro Bowl takes place Jan. 29 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
