WASHINGTON — The Caps’ quest for a Stanley Cup continues as they get ready to play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals. The NHL released the schedule for the remaining games.
The series opens Friday night in Tampa, with the full schedule as follows:
Game 1: Capitals at Lightning — Friday, May 11, 8 p.m.
Game 2: Capitals at Lightning — Sunday, May 13, 8 p.m.
Game 3: Lightning at Capitals — Tuesday, May 15, 8 p.m.
Game 4: Lightning at Capitals — Thursday, May 17, 8 p.m.
Game 5*: Capitals at Lightning — Saturday, May 19, 7:15 p.m.
Game 6*: Lightning at Capitals — Monday, May 21, 8 p.m.
Game 7*: Capitals at Lightning — Wednesday, May 23, 8 p.m.

If the Caps win this series, they will punch their ticket to the Stanely Cup Finals for the first time since 1998 when they were swept by the Detroit Red Wings.
In case you were wondering, the Caps went 1-2 against the Lightning in the regular season, although one of those losses was in overtime.
The Lightning have the number one overall seed in the Eastern Conference and the third most points in the NHL’s regular season.
