WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals are a win away from an Eastern Conference championship. The Capitals beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-0 Monday in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

The best-of-seven series is now even at three games apiece. Game 7 is Wednesday in Tampa Bay (8:00 p.m.; WFED 1500AM).

T.J. Oshie had two goals, Devante Smith-Pelly scored for the fourth time this postseason and Braden Holtby earned a 24-save shutout as the Capitals avoided elimination.
