WASHINGTON — Keelan Moxley, the 6-year-old Capitals fan who is now perhaps better known as “puck girl” from a recent viral video, met with the team’s owner before Saturday’s playoff game.
Ted Leonsis and his wife Lynn greeted Moxley and her parents before the team’s Game 5 against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Capital One Arena.
Moxley and her parents watched the team play from Leonsis’ seats behind the glass close to the ice.
Last Sunday, Moxley was featured in a video in which Caps’ Brett Connolly tried to throw her a puck during the team’s pregame warmup.
Connolly tossed pucks over the glass two times, and each time, the pucks were intercepted and given to boys standing nearby. The third time, however, Moxley got the puck. The moment made Moxley a viral star, as the video was played over 3 million times since April 15.

Moxley received a stick signed by Connolly and met with the owner before the game.
“She was part of a great moment for hockey and it was a delight to meet her. Young fans like Keelan are the future of this game. I was thrilled to be able to give the Moxley family my tickets for the game today,” Leonsis said.
Connolly wrote “Follow your dreams” on the stick.
