WASHINGTON — Police are searching for an 8-week-old puppy they say was stolen from a Manassas, Virginia, backyard Tuesday.

The owner of an 8-week-old pit bull puppy named Zeus told police that someone stole the dog from the backyard of her residence in the 9000 block of Whispering Pine Court at some point on Tuesday afternoon.

The male dog is white and tan.

Earlier this month, a 1-month-old pit bull was stolen from an owner at gunpoint in Southeast D.C. D.C. police are still investigating, and say they have no evidence to suggest the two cases are related.
