WASHINGTON — A three-year-old boy found wandering by Arlington police Saturday was recognized by a family friend and returned to his family. The boy was found wandering on 4th Street N. at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Intense social media coverage is credited with helping the effort to reunite him with his parents. An update that the boy was located was Tweeted out by 9 p.m.
Police took to social media Saturday to see if anyone recognized the child. It remains unclear why and how the boy took to wandering.
