WASHINGTON – If a bald eagle takes on a young fox, who do you think would win?
No, this isn’t an episode of Animal Face-Off. The battle actually happened at San Juan Island National Historical Park, and wildlife photographers caught it on camera.
A fox had caught a rabbit, and was carrying on with life when photographer Kevin Ebi said in a blog post that he “heard the cry of a bald eagle.” The eagle attempted to snatch away the rabbit, but the fox held tight as the battle went airborne.
In video captured by Zachary Hartje Photography, the fox can be seen fighting to keep its prey before tumbling back to the ground. Ebi noted that the fox appeared just fine after the encounter.
