STAFFORD, Va. – A little baby boy decided he couldn’t wait for the winter storm to be over to make his grand entry into the world.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office says its Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from a resident in the southern end of the county at 1:44 p.m. Saturday. The man explained that his wife was in labor and their midwife was unable to get to them because of the hazardous winter storm.
The dispatcher stayed on the phone with the father, and walked him through the delivery.
A healthy baby boy was born just a few moments later.
Stafford County officials say mom, the new baby, and the dad are all doing well.
