The passage of a cold front along with mainly clear skies will allow temperatures to drop to the 40s by early Thursday morning. Frost is possible far west.

THURSDAY:
Mostly sunny
Highs: 63-68
Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph
Thursday will be the coolest day of the week with highs only in the mid 60s. It will still be a delightful day to get out and enjoy the fall weather. 

FRIDAY:
Mostly sunny
Highs: lower 70s
Winds: Northwest 5-10 mph
Friday will be the coldest morning of the season, so far. Wake-up temperatures will likely be in the 30s in our western suburbs to low 40s downtown. The National Weather Service may issue Frost Advisories for our western zones. After the cold start, sunshine will warm temperatures to around 70 degrees by the afternoon. 

THIS WEEKEND:
The second weekend of October looks delightful! Cool mornings will be followed by warmer than average afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
