WASHINGTON — Baltimore Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr. couldn’t find a buyer for his 25-acre Tufton Farms estate in Reisterstown, Maryland, at its initial price of $12.5 million, or later at $9.75 million, and now he is selling it at a no-minimum, no-reserve auction May 12 with open houses starting Saturday.

Ripken tried to sell the estate for $12.5 million in April 2016 shortly after his divorce from Kelly.

The price was slashed in April 2017 to $9.75 million but no buyers jumped at the opportunity.

DeCaro Auctions International is handling the auction.

The Washington Post was the first to report on the move.

The estate sits on 25 acres of land about 30 minutes north of Baltimore.

It features a six-bedroom main house with 10 full baths, four fireplaces, a theater and an eight-car garage.

The gated estate also includes a guesthouse, a pool and cabana, a lake and a dock and a full-sized baseball diamond.

The home was custom-built in 1985.

Ripken now lives in Annapolis.
