New brewery coming to downtown Manassas

WASHINGTON – A new brewery is coming to historic downtown Manassas.

Sinistral Brewing Company plans to open its 3,500-square-foot brewery this summer, complete with a taproom and beer garden, on Main Street.

The city’s economic development director, Patrick Small, said Manassas has made changes in recent years to make the area more attractive to brewers and distillers. He told WTOP Sinistral is receiving a $10,000 grant to offset startup costs. He also says Sinistral is the first craft brewer to announce plans for a location in the historic downtown area.

In a news release, the city said that Sinistral will offer a selection of flagship beers, seasonal specialties and experimental beers using locally sourced ingredients.
