Target Corp. (NYSE: TGT) is scheduled to open its Oxon Hill store Oct. 20, less than a year after the Minneapolis-based retail giant inked a lease for the former Kmart location.
The 82,000-square-foot store, at 6163 Oxon Hill Drive, is of the small-format variety, catering to local shoppers with a selection of apparel, accessories, home décor, personal care and beauty products, groceries and produce. There will be a CVS Pharmacy on site.
The store will employ roughly 160 people, per a Target fact sheet. It will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Target operates 46 stores (including Oxon Hill) in Greater Washington, seven of which are small-format. Those stores overall employ more than 8,000, according to Target.
