Prince George’s Co. officer suspended after being charged with assaulting girlfriend

WASHINGTON — A Prince George’s County, Maryland, police officer has been suspended after his arrest on a domestic-related assault charge earlier this month.

Officer Steven Pascal, 27, was arrested April 8 in Florida on a warrant filed by his girlfriend in Anne Arundel County. He’s charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

The Prince George’s County police said in a statement Tuesday that Pascal, a Bureau of Patrol officer who has been with the Prince George’s department for three years, has been extradited to Maryland and suspended without pay.
