WASHINGTON — Three men are accused of robbing a handful of cellphone stores in Maryland and D.C.

The Prince George’s County police said Van Eubanks, 57, and Steve Alexander, 46, of Temple Hills, Maryland, teamed up with 51-year-old Derrick Robinson, of Southeast D.C., to rob a Capitol Heights T-Mobile store on Sunday.

Two of the robbers walked in, demanded cash and cellphones and fled to a getaway car driven by the third suspect, police said.

The men were arrested just minutes after leaving the store, in a parking lot on Marlboro Pike. The police said they expect the men will be charged with two additional robberies this month, at stores in Seat Pleasant and District Heights.

The police said in a statement that the men are suspected in several robberies in the District, as well.

The D.C. police said they’re working with Prince George’s County detectives to determine whether the same suspects robbed cellphone stores in the District, including a robbery on 16th Street last Friday that tied up traffic in the area.
