Police: Burned man found dead in Prince George’s Co.

WASHINGTON — The burned body of a Landover, Maryland, man was found in Capitol Heights on Monday morning, police said.

Rayshand Lee Cotton, 27, has been identified as the victim. His body was found around 9:50 a.m. Monday by a citizen who flagged down a patrol officer after seeing Cotton on the ground in the 1100 block of Brooke Road, Prince George’s County police said.

Cotton had severe burns and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prince George’s County police are investigating and an autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.
