The incident happened in the 600 block of Audrey Lane. Police initially responded to two separate 911 calls reporting a man with a weapon. Police said a man pointed the BB gun at an officer who then fired at the man.
A 23-year-old man turned himself in after police surrounded the building.
The officer involved in the shooting will be placed on administrative leave immediately, Stawinski said.
