WASHINGTON — A student is facing charges after a stabbing at a Prince George’s County high school Tuesday morning.
Prince George’s County officers responded to Frederick Douglass High School located in the 8000 block of Croom Road for a report of a stabbing at about 7:40 a.m. When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old male student suffering from a stab wound.
Emergency crews transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives say the stabbed happened after a previous fight between two students – the 16-year-old victim and a 14-year-old. The fight carried over to Tuesday morning when the 14-year-old used a pocket knife to stab the 16-year-old, police say.
The 14-year-old was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries.
He is facing charges as a juvenile.
