Five states hosted both Republican and Democratic primary elections Tuesday with more than 500 delegates up for grabs.
The candidates campaigned in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware, which all held nominating contests Tuesday — the most states to hold primaries on the same day since March 15.
