The public high school graduation rate for the United States, including the 50 states and the District of Columbia during the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years. The figures were calculated using the 4-year adjusted cohort graduation rate.
To determine that rate, the number of graduates in a given year is divided by the number of students who enrolled four years earlier. Adjustments are made for transfers.
