WWE visits WTOP before Smackdown Live, Tribute to the Troops

WASHINGTON — Tuesday night at Verizon Center, WWE honors our military service men and women during Tribute to the Troops. The event begins at 6:15 p.m. — and airs Wednesday on USA Network at 8 p.m. — followed by the regular Tuesday show Smackdown Live.

On this week’s show, the main event will feature James Ellsworth challenging “The face that runs the place,” WWE Champion AJ Styles.

Bray Wyatt will learn who he and his fellow tag team champions will face off against when the Tag Team Battle Royal kicks off tonight. Will it be Heath Slater & Rhyno, American Alpha, The Hype Bros, Breezango, The Vaudevillains, The Ascension or The Usos?

Wyatt stopped by WTOP this morning to talk about the events going on here today in D.C., as well as to discuss a number of different events and opponents he’s faced during his time in the WWE.

Wyatt also spoke about the grind of professional wrestling and how he maintains his body for peak performance, his experiences during his feud with John Cena, and what is in store for both the Smackdown brand as well as his own personal aspirations for the Wyatt Family.
