PHOTOS: Pyeongchang Olympics, part 2

WASHINGTON — Competition is in the final weekend at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

John Shuster lifted Team USA to its first-ever curling medal on Saturday. The Americans defeated Sweden after nearly being eliminated from competition last week.

Earlier, Japanese figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu became the second person to defend his Olympic gold medal since American Dick Button in 1952.

Seventeen-year-old U.S. skater Vincent Zhou became the first person to land a quadruple Lutz at the Olympics. He did at in the short program of the men’s competition. He finished in sixth place.
