Packers player to watch
S Xavier McKinney was a major free-agent pickup as Green Bay signed him away from the Giants trying to fix a position that was a consistent headache last season. McKinney has intercepted a pass in each of the first two games. The only other players to do that with the Packers were Doyle Nix (1955) and John Anderson (1978). Nix and Anderson both had interceptions in their third games with Green Bay as well.
Titans player to watch
QB Will Levis. The 33rd pick overall in 2023 is why the Titans are last in the NFL in turnover margin with three interceptions and two fumbles. He also has shown flashes of why they love him as the starter as he threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Calvin Ridley and also ran for a career-high 38 yards.
Key matchup
Tennessee’s run defense against Green Bay’s rushing offense. The Titans are holding opponents to 92.5 yards rushing. With Love sidelined by injury, the Packers leaned heavily on the run, rushing 53 times for 261 yards. Josh Jacobs carried 32 times for 151 yards with coach Matt LaFleur calling only 14 pass attempts for Willis.
Key injuries
Packers QB Jordan Love is still trying to work his way back after injuring his left medial collateral ligament in the final series of Green Bay’s season-opening 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. He has been limited at practice. … The Packers placed RB MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) on injured reserve this week, sidelining him at least the next four games. … The Titans remain relatively healthy with only backup RB Tyjae Spears (ankle) on the injury report for reasons other than rest.
Series notes
The home team has won four of the past five in this series. The Titans are 3-0 against the Packers at Nissan Stadium. This is Green Bay’s first visit to Nashville since Nov. 13, 2016. The Titans won that game 47-25. … The most recent time these teams met was a big prime-time victory for Tennessee at Lambeau Stadium. Since then, the Titans lost seven straight to end the 2022 season, costing a general manager his job. Then the Titans went 6-11 costing coach Mike Vrabel his job. The Titans come in having lost 20 of their past 26 overall. … This is the Packers’ earliest visit to play the Titans, though they played the then-Oilers in Houson to open the 1983 season. … The point differential in this series is 15 points.
Stats and stuff

The other time was in a 21-0 win at Chicago on Dec. 16, 1973. … The Packers’ 53 carries against Indianapolis were their most since Nov. 26, 1978, when they ran 54 times in a 10-10 tie with Minnesota. … If Love can’t play Sunday, the Packers will start former Titans QB Malik Willis. The Packers acquired Willis last month for a 2025 seventh-round draft pick. Willlis started against the Colts and was 12 of 14 for 122 yards with his first career touchdown pass. He also ran for 41 yards on six carries. … Jacobs’ 235 yards rushing are the most ever by a player in his first two games as a Packer. Jacobs is third in the NFL in rushing, behind the Chargers’ J.K. Fantasy tip
If Green Bay’s defense is available on the waiver wire, grab it or start that defense if on your roster. The Packers have intercepted five passes and forced six total takeaways to lead the NFL in both categories. With Levis’ turnovers, the Titans haven’t topped 17 points a game yet under Callahan.
