On a per-share basis, the Bellevue, Washington-based company said it had net income of $1.71.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.33 per share.
The logistics services provider posted revenue of $2.78 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.58 billion.
