On a per-share basis, the Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of $9.17.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $9.97 per share.
The cable provider posted revenue of $13.6 billion in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $13.53 billion.
