The bank, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, said it had a loss of 39 cents per share.
The financial holding company posted revenue of $1.05 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $650.3 million, which missed Street forecasts.
Banco Macro shares have declined 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $82.21, a decline of nearly 2% in the last 12 months.
