On a per-share basis, the Reston, Virginia-based company said it had profit of $2.71. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, were $3.63 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.25 per share.
The information technology company posted revenue of $1.77 billion in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.86 billion.
SAIC expects full-year earnings in the range of $9.40 to $9.60 per share, with revenue in the range of $7.25 billion to $7.33 billion.
