On a per-share basis, the Bloomington, Minnesota-based company said it had profit of $1.14. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.18 per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.23 per share.
The landscaping, maintenance and irrigation equipment maker posted revenue of $1.16 billion in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.26 billion.
Toro expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.15 to $4.20 per share.
