Maggiano’s moving Tysons restaurant out of the Galleria

Italian restaurant chain Maggiano’s Little Italy will shutter its longtime outpost at Tysons Galleria in favor of new space across the street at Tysons Corner Center.

It may not be the only chain to make the leap.

Doug Healey, senior vice president for leasing with Tysons Corner Center owner The Macerich Co. (NYSE: MAC), announced the lease with Maggiano’s during the company’s fourth quarter earnings call on Wednesday. Healey lumped Maggiano’s among a handful of new leases signed in the fourth quarter at the region’s biggest shopping mall, in addition to Level99 adult gaming playground, Kate Spade, Mango and Buck Mason.

Maggiano’s, owned by Dallas-based Brinker International Inc. (NYSE: EAT), confirmed the move.
