With Halloween here, it’s officially the start of food and family time. The next two months are full of get-togethers with chosen and assigned families. Some families make big feasts for Thanksgiving and Christmas — or any old weekend before the end of the year. Others like to have those dinners catered or delivered. Still others like to head out for a lavish meal.

Each year, the Washington Business Journal compiles a List of the most expensive restaurants in Greater Washington. These fine-dining abodes include a little bit of everything — seafood, sushi, pan-Latin, Italian, Mediterranean and more.
