New restaurant to replace the Daily Grill in Bethesda

A Mexican restaurant is coming to downtown Bethesda, where it will fill the void created when the Daily Grill closed due to fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.

An affiliate of restaurateur Bobby Kim has signed a lease for the Daily Grill’s former 6,500 square feet at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. With the tentative name of Los Ricos, the new restaurant is slated to open in late spring and will add 2,000 square feet of outdoor patio space that its predecessor hadn’t tapped, per Greg Cho, associate vice president at Capstar Commercial Realty, who represented Kim in the lease at 7400 Wisconsin Ave. The landlord was represented by Tom Papadopoulos, a principal with Papadopoulos Properties.

“The Daily Grill, they didn’t try to use that side-area patio, which is really great space, so we wanted to make the most out of that area,” Cho said.

Kim is also part of a group that owns Korean BBQ restaurants, including two in Texas and one coming to Atlanta. The new concept coming to the Hyatt Regency…
