Retailers know many consumers have Presidents Day off from work. To convince them to use that day for shopping, they roll out Presidents Day weekend sales, some of which start as early as the week before the holiday.
Traditionally, Presidents Day sales have focused on mattress and appliance deals. But plenty of tech, clothing and beauty retailers hold sales as well. To help you make the most of this long weekend, we’ve rounded up the best sales to shop. Read on for the best Presidents Day sales this year.

Ashley Furniture. The Ashley Furniture Presidents Day sale features up to 50 percent off online through the weekend, plus an extra 10 percent off with code PRESDAY10.
Best Buy. Through Presidents Day, get up to 35 percent off appliances. This sale includes large appliances, such as refrigerators, ranges, washers and dryers as well as small appliances such as mixers, vacuum cleaners and air purifiers. It’s also running a four-day Presidents Day sale (Friday through Monday), featuring sales on HDTVs, laptops and more.
Brentwood Home. This retailer’s high-end mattresses start at more than $1,000 for a queen-sized bed. Between Feb. 15 and Feb. 26, however, you’ll be able to get 15 percent off sitewide with code PRES15.
Dell. If you missed out on Black Friday tech deals, shop the Dell Presidents Day sale through Feb. 22. You can get high-end gaming laptops, which usually retail for more than $1,200, at more than 30 percent off. You’ll also find more budget-friendly laptops for upwards of 40 percent off. There are also gaming bundles, which include consoles, games and gift cards, and deep discounts on 4K TVs. Throughout the sale, Dell will also be offering periodic online doorbusters, so check its website for the latest.

EBay. Click through from the Presidents Day banner on the site and get 20 percent off with one-time-use code PRESDAY. The sale includes a variety of items, including computers, cameras, clothing and home goods.
Gap. Shop online and get an extra 20 percent off any order, plus free shipping. Use promo code PRESDAY through Feb. 19 at 11:59 p.m. EST. This offer doesn’t include gift cards.
Home Depot. The Presidents Day sale is extended through Feb. 28 and includes up to 35 percent off select appliances. Options include refrigerators, washer-and-dryer combos and kitchen suites. You’ll also find smaller discounts, such as 25 percent off floor-care products.
HP. Through Feb. 19, you can get up to 55 percent off laptops, desktops, accessories, monitors, printers and more. HP’s Presidents Day sale also includes free shipping and returns.
Lowe’s. Get up to 35 percent off select appliances through Feb. 28. The Presidents Day sale at Lowe’s includes side-by-side refrigerators, microwaves, ovens, washers and dryers.
Macy’s. Take 20 percent off your online order sitewide between Feb. 15 and Feb. 19 with coupon code PRES.
Mattress Firm. Get a free adjustable base ($1,198 value) when you spend $500 on a mattress. This promo ends on Presidents Day. Plus, the Big Price Drop event extends through March 6 — all brands will be 50 percent off.
Old Navy. Old Navy’s “Unreal Shopping Adventure” event runs through Presidents Day and includes up to 50 percent off any order.

Overstock. The site’s Presidents Day Sale offers up to 70 percent off many of the products it sells. Certain categories have additional discounts on top of that. For example, get an extra 25 percent off rugs and an additional 15 percent off select lighting.
Sam’s Club: Through Feb. 28, find discounts of up to $300 on Serta mattresses. Some discounts are in-club only, and others are available online.
Sears. The Sears Presidents Day Event runs through Monday and includes up to 40 percent off appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens and dishwashers, and up to 60 percent off mattresses, including brands such as Beautyrest, Sealy, Serta and more.
Target. Through Feb. 19, use promo code GEORGE to get 15 percent off furniture and rugs when shopping online.
West Elm. Through the long weekend, get 20 percent off everything in stores and online. When shopping online, use code BIGNEWS.
