Breakfast and fast food lovers, you’re in for a treat. McDonald’s Corp. (ticker: MCD) is expanding its all-day breakfast menu in September as the chain continues to benefit from the program’s initial rollout.
The expanded menu, offered nationally, will soon include McGriddle sandwiches, CNBC reports. Most franchises only have biscuit sandwiches or McMuffins for all-day breakfast.
The all-day breakfast option has been a boon for the company, increasing same-store sales for two quarters in a row. McDonald’s launched all-day breakfast in October with limited menus, varying per market.
The restaurant category is a fickle one when it comes to pleasing consumers, particularly as healthier foods gain popularity among consumers.
But the success of the company’s all-day breakfast menu has MCD stock up nearly 26 percent in the last year. Its growth in the last 12 months trails only Dave & Buster’s Entertainment (PLAY), according to U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of restaurant stocks.
