Report: Carly Fiorina heckled by woman dressed as birth control pills

WASHINGTON – A woman dressed as a pack of birth control pills crashed a Carly Fiorina campaign tailgate at a University of Iowa football game on Saturday, The Washington Post reports.

The woman was part  group of Planned Parenthood supporters clad in pink T-shirts, who shouted “I-O-W-A, women’s rights are here to stay” and “offsides for telling lies.” One of the women handed a security guard a condom, The Post reports.

During the second GOP debate, Fiorina brought up the controversial secret recordings that showed Planned Parenthood employees talking about handling fetal tissue for scientific research. She said there was “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, ‘We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.’”

In Iowa, Fiorina continued to shake hands and take photos despite the heckling, NBC news reports.

Trying to speak over the chants Fiorina told reporters: “I think we’re making a difference, that’s my reaction,”,. “I think they’re scared that the people of America are starting to look at what’s really going on in a Planned Parenthood clinic.”

“They can’t deny what’s going on, so they shout slogans instead,” she told NBC news.
