The National Mall at 5 a.m.: Interesting. Serene. Pitch black.
That’s how our Creative Services Director Jamey Fry describes a time this past October that a handful of Washington Business Journal staff headed to the front of the Lincoln Memorial in the wee hours of the morning for a Books of Lists cover shoot.
It was for our 2015 annual publication, a comprehensive ranking of every major company in every major industry in the region.
With lights, camera and permits in tow, Jamey takes us behind the scenes the day of the shoot. Watch the video above to hear how we chose to represent local arts and culture in the 2015 Book of Lists.
