Colorado State outlasts San Jose State 38-31

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Dee Hart rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns to lead Colorado State to a 38-31 win over San Jose State on Saturday night.

Hart answered Joe Gray’s game-tying, 20-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Winston by scoring twice, both on 7-yard runs, to put the Rams up 14 with 5:09 remaining.

Gray scored on a four-yard run with 2:19 left. San Jose State recovered the ensuing onside kick, but couldn’t convert a fourth down at its own 41.

Garrett Grayson completed 22 of 28 passes for 290 yards, finding Rashard Higgins eight times for 143 yards receiving and a touchdown for Colorado State (8-1, 4-1 Mountain West).

Gray threw for 308 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Tyler Ervin rushed for 149 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown for San Jose State (3-5, 2-2).
