Police seek “persons of interest” in parking attendant beating

WASHINGTON –The Metropolitan Police Department is looking for two persons of interest in connection with the beating of a parking attendant in Washington, D.C. in September.

Police have just released a video showing the beating of parking attendant Jimaw Hassan,who was working at a parking garage on the 900 block of F Street NW on at approximately 2:56 a.m. on Sept. 13 when the incident occurred.

The man in question can be seen repeatedly punching Hassan after knocking him down, then kicking him, before leaving the scene with a female companion.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the man and woman.

According to a report by NBC4, Hassan’s wife said her husband is still recovering from broken bones, and cuts on his face, chin and left eye. He says he’s still scared and “not the same.”

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727- 9099. Information can also be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. DC Crime Solvers currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a serious crime committed in the District of Columbia, according to police.
