WASHINGTON — Actress and comedian Jan Hooks, best known as a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” from 1986 to 1991, died on Thursday.
CNN reports that she died in New York at age 57.
She began her career on “The Bill Tush Show” in her hometown of Atlanta, and also appeared on “Not Necessarily the News,” before her stint on “SNL” along with Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman and Mike Myers, CNN reports.
She also had a role on “Designing Women, as well as “3rd Rock from the Sun” and “30 Rock.”
