NORTH EAST, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a house fire caused half a million dollars in damage to a home in North East.
WBAL-AM (http://tinyurl.com/o2ub84b) reports that the fire occurred Friday night. It started in a second-floor bedroom of the home on West Old Philadelphia Road.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Officials say it caused $300,000 worth of damage to the house and $200,000 to the contents inside. A family pet also died in the fire.
None of the six family members living in the home was hurt.
