FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Elliott Sadler is headed to Roush Fenway Racing next year in a move that will reunite the team with a former sponsor in NASCAR’s second-tier series.
Sadler sponsor OneMain Financial announced Friday that it is moving with the driver when he leaves Joe Gibbs Racing after the season.
OneMain Financial will be the primary sponsor for all 33 races by the No. 1 Ford Mustang in the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Roush had a Nationwide entry from 2008 to 2010 with CitiFinancial, which has since been renamed OneMain Financial.
It will be the fourth different team in five seasons for Sadler since the former Sprint Cup driver went to the Nationwide series in 2011. He spent one year each at Kevin Harvick Inc. and Richard Childress Racing before joining Gibbs.
