VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A California-based brewery has broken ground on a new location in Virginia.
Green Flash Brewing Co. held a groundbreaking ceremony in Virginia Beach on Monday.
The brewery is headquartered in San Diego and brews 10 styles of beer on draught and in bottles. The Virginia Beach location will be the company’s second-full scale brewing operation.
The 58,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in 2016 and will have a tasting room, retail store and beer garden.
The company plans to hire about 40 people for its Virginia Beach operation.
