Plea hearing set in Waynesboro workplace slaying

WAYNESBORO, Va. (AP) — A plea hearing is set for a Waynesboro man accused of killing a co-worker at a production facility.

Waynesboro Commonwealth’s Attorney David Ledbetter tells The News Leader (http://bit.ly/1uH35CT ) that 54-year-old Boyd W. Wiseman is scheduled to appear in court for a plea hearing on Sept. 24.

Wiseman is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is accused of shooting 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Earhart of Staunton at an F.D. Drake Company production facility in Waynesboro on Feb. 27.

Wiseman is being held without bond at the Middle River Regional Jail.
