NFL Forecasts for Week 3

Well, the first 2 weeks of NFL football went pretty quietly weatherwise but as we head into the last week of summer for the United States, we are looking at a little bit more of an unsettled weather pattern as we head into week three. Plenty of small rain chances across many football stadiums on Sunday so a lot of the region will be dodging some light rain with warmer temperatures.

1:00p.m. EST

Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles: “The Linc” Philadelphia, PA: What a beautiful day for an NFC East matchup! Sunshine with just a few clouds with temperatures hanging around 80 degrees for much of the game. Winds will be out of the west at 5 mph.

San Diego Chargers at Buffalo Bills: Ralph Wilson Stadium, Buffalo, NY: After some morning rain, occasional showers will continue through the afternoon hours. There will be a very small chance (20%) of some isolated storms but mainly expecting rain showers. Dry air could move in by the 2nd half bringing some partial sunshine. It will remain breezy through much of the game with winds 10-15 mph. Temperatures will fall from around 70 degrees at kickoff to the lower to mid 60s by the 4th quarter.

Houston Texans at New York Giants: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NY: Temperatures will remain right around 80 degrees during the game! All and all not back with increasing clouds through the 2nd half. I do believe the game will remain dry but any time through the late evening hours, chances of rain increase. South winds at 5-10 mph.

Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, OH: A great day for football although a little breezy! Winds will move out of the west during the game at 10-20 mph with some higher gusts! Temperatures will be comfortable with in the mid to upper 70s. Plenty of sunshine through the duration of the game.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns: First Energy Stadium, Cleveland, OH: Whoa winds. FirstEnergy will experience sustained winds out of the west at 15- 25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph through much of the game. There will be about a 30% chance of showers during the game and those chances will increase after 5p.m. Plenty of clouds around with temperatures topping out in the upper 60s.

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, FL: Great day in Jacksonville with temperatures in the mid 80s and sunshine! It will be dry during the game with a wind out of the north at 5 mph.

Oakland at New England: Gillette Stadium Foxboro, MA: Hello humidity! Temperatures will teeter in the mid 70s for much of the game but you will absolutely feel the humidity (as well as the players). Hit or miss showers are expected but most of the time, the area will remain dry. There will be some sunshine but clouds will be in place as well. Winds travel out of the south at 5-10 mph.

4:05p.m. EST

Denver Broncos at Seattle Seahawks: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Washington: Great day for the 1st Superbowl rematch in the following regular season since 1997. Beautiful with sunshine and temperatures moving from the mid 70s to around 80 through the game. Winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph.

4:25p.m.

Kansas City Chiefs at Miami Dolphins: Sunlife Stadium, Miami, FL: Of course, there will be a chance of some scattered storms around Miami on Sunday with about a 30%-40% chance.. But with the loss of daytime heating (sunset: 7:21pm) the chance of storms and rain will lessen throughout the duration of the game. Plenty of clouds around though with cloudy skies and a 5 mph wind out of the east.

8:30p.m.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Carolina Panthers: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC: Looking at partly cloudy skies during the game. Temperatures will be right around 73 degrees for much of the game. The sun will set at 7:23 pm.

Monday Night Football: 8:30p.m.

Chicago Bears at New York Jets: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ: A great but breezy night for Monday Night Football. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s for the start of the game and fall through the mid to upper 50s by the 4th quarter. A light northwest wind will be around during gametime after a breezy morning in store for the area. Sunset at 6:56pm.
