WASHINGTON — Burger is the new black — at least with Burger King’s new burger made with black ingredients.
The burgers — available at select Burger King Japan locations — include black bamboo charcoal cheese, beef burgers made with black pepper, black-dyed bread and an onion and garlic sauce made from squid ink.
Burger King Japan offers two different versions of the burger for a limited time beginning Sept. 19.
This isn’t the first time the chain has offered the ominous meal — the burger was available in 2012 and 2013 with great success.
There’s no word on if the ebony meal will make its way to United States’ Burger King locations.
