WASHINGTON (AP) — Transportation officials in Washington are closing the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge over the Anacostia River for several hours.
The bridge, which is also known as the South Capitol Street Bridge, will be closed on Monday from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials say the bridge is being closed in order to allow water traffic to pass. Officials say the bridge will re-open after the traffic passes through the area.
