WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police officers are looking for a man who allegedly ran away from his car after he crashed in Brandywine, Md., this week.
Brendan Munnerlyn died after he was ejected from the vehicle. He was 23.
A rear-seat passenger was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital.
Shortly before 11 p.m., July 17, patrol officers were called to the 16300 block of McKendree Road for a single-car crash.
According to police, the driver of a Ford Mustang was headed eastbound on the road when he lost control of the car, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Police say the driver was seen running from the car after the crash.
Police describe the man as black, 20 years old, 5’9″ and 180 pounds. They say speed was a factor.
