WASHINGTON — Ellicott City’s Main Street in Maryland is in the top four out of 16 towns across America in Parade Magazine’s “Best Main Street in America” contest.
The main drag in Howard County’s Ellicott City is in the final four of the contest. The city can top the list and clinch the title with help from voters.
Ellicott City has a population of 65,834 people and is described on the Parade contest page as having an “enchanting downtown” that boasts great restaurants, shops, and small businesses supporting the local community.
Voting is open for the public and people can vote to give Ellicott City a boost. Round three is open until Tuesday, July 1 at 11:59 p.m. EST. The final round will follow on Wednesday, July 2.
In the contest bracket, Ellicott City faces off with Collierville, Tennessee.
The winner will be the focus of a Parade cover story about the best Main Streets in the U.S.
